Dr. Rebecca Skinner approached me earlier this year about sprucing up the office, which previously had a mish-mash of framed photos, some of which had probably been there for a long time. She was a dream to work with in that she basically gave me total artistic license. We put together some displays that add a lot of color and fun to the walls, plus give clients something to look at while they’re in the exam room. Everyone seems thrilled with the results!
I’ve been going to Southkent Veterinary Hospital in Byron Center for years and years–it’s where my parents took my first dog, Nikki. Dr. Oatley was her vet when I was a teenager, so you can imagine how surprised I was when I grew up, had kids, got my own dogs and went back to Southkent Vet, only to find that not only was Dr. Oatley still there, but he hadn’t aged a day! He was exactly as I remember him from when I was in high school.
Dr. Oatley is enjoying a well-deserved retirement now, but the new vet staff is equally amazing. Drs. Rebecca Skinner, Anna Gall and Lori Dehlinger have all cared for one or more of the Grumpy Pups. Tyler in particular is a challenge, as his super-thick medical file will attest. It seems like there is always something wrong with my boy, but they always figure it out and keep him going–and at very reasonable prices to boot.
If you’re looking for a vet, I can highly recommend Southkent Veterinary Hospital in Byron Center (they also have a branch in Caledonia). If you just want to see how custom pet photography can really liven up a room and bring a smile to your face, stop by and take a look! And if you are already a client of Southkent Vet’s, I welcome you to Grumpy Pups and would love to create a custom photo display of your pet just for you!
